Rev. Michael Reckord

Reverend Michael Reckord, a Religious Science minister since 2003, was ordained seven years later. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, he has also worked as a Public Relations Officer, a journalist, an educator and a writer (of local and international award-winning poems, stories and plays) for more than 50 years. His high school years were spent at Kingston College and he received Bachelors and Masters degrees from, variously, Carleton University, Ottawa, Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, and International University of the Caribbean, Kingston.

He has a diploma in Human Resources Development, and certificates in Writing, Counselling, Marketing and Supervisory Management from institutions in Jamaica and abroad. He has been a free lance writer in culture and entertainment for The Gleaner for decades. Married to Elaine, he has three adult children.
